How the calculator works
It follows the chain every Google Ads budget goes through: budget divided by cost per click gives clicks, clicks times conversion rate gives leads, and leads times your close rate gives customers. Multiply customers by job value for revenue.
Where to find your numbers
- Cost per click: your account's average CPC for the last 90 days, or the "top of page bid" range in Keyword Planner if you are new.
- Conversion rate: conversions divided by clicks in your account. If you have no data yet, start with a cautious figure and update it after a month.
- Close rate: of the leads you get, how many become paying customers. Your call log or CRM knows this.
Reading the result
If cost per lead is higher than you can afford, raising the budget will not fix it. Conversion rate and close rate are usually the cheapest levers. The audit checklist covers both.
